Contest Time!

Like many of you, I am taking time off until the new year. In the meantime, I've decided to hold a little contest.

Vote for your favorite comic by sending an email to "alexander.miel@gmail.com." I'll tally up the votes by January 2nd and share the results.

Everyone who writes in will be entered into a raffle. The (oh so lucky) winner will get an original, signed piece of artwork. Yay!

See you next year.

The Hostage Situation

Though my foot is not exactly healed, it can take some punishment now. It's good to be back at the drawing board.

From Bad to Worse II

This time 'bad to worse' describes the state of my poor foot. I toughed it out yesterday, but today I pay with the pain. If I'm not back with fresh hilarity tomorrow, I will be for sure on Monday. In the meantime, enjoy watching this little girl cry,

I'm Broken

In a horrible accident involving a garage door, I maimed my foot. So I'm down for the count today. However, I am very pleased to announce I've received some outstanding returns on the Thanksgiving coloring picture. I am honored to display them here. Beautiful!

Toys To Look For This Christmas

This weekend, LoadedOrygun.net gave this blog a great review, for which I am grateful. Go check them out, there's lots of good brain food. Particularly if you live in the great state of Oregon. The review can be found here.

Also, Left Toon Lane recently began featuring these comics, for which I am also very grateful. So if you love comics, and you are of the lefty/sane persuasion, take a look. I think you will like.

Now on to the hilariousness!

Everybody's Got Their Off Days

Okay, so, like, that guy on the right is supposed to be Uncle Sam, and that other guy is supposed to be China. And, like, China's pulling on that rope and it opens a trap door where there's these, like, brick-dollar things, and they're, like, falling, and... and... and...
**Sigh** Nevermind. Tune in tomorrow.

Real Stewards of the Constitution

This one goes out, in its own little way, to Carol Ann Gotbaum and her family, whose story has been grossly under-discussed in this country.

RAH! (Repulicans Are Hilarious)

Also, don't forget: new Radiohead album. You pick the price, even $0. Be forewarned, the website's a little slow today and they don't exactly make it easy to navigate (the site doesn't even convert currency). I gave the band $5 (about 2.5 pounds), but they also tack a .46 pound fee, which i think works out to about a buck, so be sure to add that to your final offer.

Pardon the plug, but I can't help but support this kind of forward thinking. I'm off to listen. I hope it's good.

Buck the Status Quo

Don't believe the talking heads when they say things like, "only military families in America are being asked to sacrifice." That kind of rhetoric has been making the rounds and it's a load of crap.
